Sonya's Page

Welcome to my page, I am Sonya Tahchaw-wickah, the youngest daughter of Nicholas & Peggy Tahchaw-wickah of Cache, Oklahoma. I have lived in Cache, Oklahoma all my life. I have three sons: Tyler Brooks, Dylan Cole, and Myles Troy. I am full blood Comanche and I love to be around my Comanche people. I also love to be around my family and friends. If you know our family, then you should know that we love to laugh and make others laugh also. Our family is growing and getting older but we still make time for each other and our parents. We are always having some kind of adventure going on. From going to look for the horse, trying to figure out secret code words, or trying to dodge the "paparrazzi", it is never a dull moment being a Tahchaw-wickah.

I am in a car and truck club out of Lawton, Oklahoma that we started called Lethal Street Designs. We like to fix up cars, go to shows, and just have fun. We have several chapters around the United States.

All in all, I have a great family, and really good friends. I don't know where I would be without them. My brother and sisters are wonderful people to be around. We have lot's of laughs. My boys are the best boys anyone could ask for. My mother and father are the best parents ever! It is great to be a Tahchaw-wickah!

Comanche Tribal Member, Tyler Tahchaw-wickah, 18, from Cache, Oklahoma will be participating in the Yukon Karate Championship Amateur Grappling on February 27, 2010 in Yukon, Oklahoma. Tyler has been training in mixed martial arts for the last 6 months. This will be his first MMA event he has entered. The event he will be entering will require him to fight with his Gi. He has been training under the supervision of Curtis Johnson. We are very proud of him and his dedication to something that he is really interested in pursuing as a career. He loves his Comanche heritage and that proudness of being Numunu makes him strive harder for his goals. The Karate Championship will take place in Yukon, Oklahoma at the Yukon High School, 1029 Garth Brooks Blvd. The doors will open at 9 a.m. with the events starting at 11 a.m. Entry cost is $5.00. Tyler would like to thank his trainer, Curtis Johnson, for teaching him patience and control, and all that is needed for this event. He would also like to thank his Tahchaw-wickah family for everything that they have done, to help him make it this far. Tyler would like to invite all tribal members to come and watch his event on the February 27.
